Website Launch Checklist: 9 Must-Dos
So you’ve just finished developing and editing your website and are ready for launch. But are you really? You may think that everything is done, but there are so many little things that a website is composed of that it’s easy to leave some mistakes.
You want to ensure only the best possible experience for your website visitors, and to do so, you’ll need to check a few things before launching your website. Here’s a short but effective website launch checklist including the most important points to go over before the big day!
Secure Your Website
As soon as your website is visible to the public, it’s also visible to hackers, and you should know that they can strike even completely fresh websites. That’s why you should try to keep your website safe at all times and ensure this before launching. A few ways to do so are installing a firewall, getting an SSL certificate, and securing your passwords with special security software.
Insert CTAs Wherever They’re Relevant
The main goal of your website is probably for users to make a certain action: it might be to make a purchase, to read the blog, or to learn more about your product. That’s why you should insert as many CTAs as you can (but don’t be too spammy!)
Back It Up
A backup is an absolute must for your new website. With the amount of time you’ve spent on it, you need to keep that data protected. However, a backup of your website that’s three months old may not be of much help if you lose all of your data, so set up automatic updates to make sure you’re covered!
